Is that Christmas knocking at the door again!? How the devil did we get here so fast? Is that a yard of Jaffa cakes in my shopping trolley? Stay away Santa, nothing to see here.

I for one, am looking forward to some time off over the festive period. To kick back, shove lots of cake in my gob, ride bikes, run hills and generally lark around. No real change there then but I think some time away from the computer will be a good thing. Bets are on if I can stay away from Facebook for a day……place your bets! Jaffa cakes for all.

This week I produced some A3 prints of some of the photos that are on here and they look quite cool blown up. I put out a few and they were snapped up quick as a flash! If you want any (and I mean any of the photos of Queenstown Life that you like) just get in touch on Facebook, email here or post! Do people use that anymore? I for one want to bring that back in the new year. I’m going to start writing letters again as I know how nice it feels to get a letter in the postbox, even if it is a bill, I can pretend it’s some long lost lover writing poetry. Until I see the word ASB on it.

Plenty of bike riding and running this week as the sun made an appearance and I got over to deepest Central Otago for some work. I love love love it over there. One for photos as it’s so quirky and two because of the heat and flatness of the land. Definitely make a road trip this summer and see some of the towns. Coffee is still always good even in the middle of nowhere. Hail mighty New Zealand coffee.

Kathryn Pender’s exhibition opened at Fluid go see it NOW. It’s one of my favourite’s and I may have purchased a small piece after one wine. I’m such an easy target. Happy Christmas to me!

I also headed to Kobe at Millbrook. Their gorgeous Japanese restaurant hidden away in the expanse of their lush, green lanes. Post is here. AND stop the press. Have you visited The Sherwood yet? I popped in to talk to the amazing Fraser and didn’t leave for 45 minutes. And I didn’t even try any food! What an amazing, mystical, we-can-do-anything place for sleeping, eating and general larking about. I shall be back.

In the meantime, don’t stress about presents and all that. I don’t need anything this year. Take some time out to ride, run and enjoy everything this paradise has to offer. And don’t forget to come say hi on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

I never sleep.
