Slow down will you! Jeez it’s October and I haven’t caught my breath! Running is in full swing for the Half Queenstown International Marathon which you can find all about here . You can volunteer, run, watch, shout, laugh at me with my sweaty pink face. What a great event!
This week has flown by again in a flurry of well snow! Where did that come from? Every year around this time it all goes a bit pear shaped with the weather and we all sit and watch it snow, rain, sunshine, gale and love it. Well I do. Knowing Summer is just around the corner and I’ll be in my cycling shorts before you can say, well cycling shorts.
We had Snappers Week Two, where the girls (boys couldn’t get out of bed) met at 6.30am to photograph another part of Queenstown. You can join us if you 1) have any type of camera/ iPhone 2) like to be out of your bed at random times! Read about us here
The lovely Pembroke Patisserie in Wanaka gave us a gorgeous recipe for our Secrets of the Chef here if you would like to contribute just get in touch! We have so many gorgeous recipes from restaurants and cafes now in Central and Queenstown.
While I was in Wanaka I hopped along to Good Rotations. A lovely shop selling and renting electric, cargo, urban and adventure bikes. I was in heaven! I snapped away to my hearts content. Their website is here and you can contact them for more information. The little caravan outside The Good Spot is also a real find and we settled in for some coffee. All on Anderson Road- make the trip out of town because it’s worth it!
I also got along to see the new collection of Rongomaiaia Te Whaiti open at Front Room Gallery. A lovely 3 painting collection on for the next couple of weeks. Go see!
Aspiring Conversations is a new off shoot of Festival of Colour and I was lucky enough to catch Loretta Napoleoni who spoke about the state of Iraq and Syria. My head didn’t explode with all the information and it was a much needed wake up to remember we sometimes forget what’s going on in the world in our little bubble.
If you like our photos don’t forget to hop over to Instagram as I post many more there.
Have a good week people!

Hope to see you soon again, Cheers Babu.
