I’ve wandered past the gorgeous historic houses in Arrowtown many times before on my visits and always wondered what they were like not only on the inside but to stay inside. Cozy, cute and most definitely a ‘if the walls could talk’ scenario I had the chance to stay in the beautiful Bennetto Cottage.
A beautiful two bedroom cottage with everything you could need to nestle, sip some of the delicious hot chocolate I was given (Bennetto Hot chocolate– clever family alert) and wonder what went on within the rooms of this little place. Who wandered the halls, who used the stove that’s still here?
Set back on one of Arrowtown’s most beautiful streets this quaint little cottage is perfect for a night or two away to taste some of the delights of Arrowtown and nearby Queenstown (20 minute drive). Shops, eating out, trails to walk and run, mountain and road biking and coffee. Did someone say coffee?
A quaint little place to sit back and enjoy how close you are to Arrowtown but also wonder about those walls and if they could speak what stories would tey tell? Owned by the Bennetto family it still retains it’s unique cottage feel with beautiful double room and single room set up, sitting room, equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything you need and the added bonus of knowing you are staying somewhere full of history. This area seeps history which you can find out about here.
I’ve wanted to have a look inisde this house for so long and then the opportunity arose to actually stay the night. Arrowtown is full of wonderful little places like this to add to your trip list and this one definately is a highlight for me. With the Autumn leaves still falling it’s stiull a photographer’s dream when it comes to colour and the area. I went a bit crazy on Instagram taking snaps of the village. I know you’ll join me when you arrive.
This post was gifted as I stayed the night at the gorgeous Bennetto Cottage but as always my views are my own.
