\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>I escaped (I really do love my baby but when a girls gotta go she’s gotta go) for the weekend, I could go anywhere and I chose Wellington. Why there you might ask?<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you seen<\/span> QT Museum Wellington<\/span><\/a>?<\/p>\n

\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>A short sharp flight to the absolutely buzzing city of Wellington and I was whisked into delightful madness. Wellington has become a hub of coffee shops, eateries, art, culture, shopping, walking, loitering and hoteling (is that a word?).<\/span><\/p>\n

QT Museum<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Wellington has been on my list the whole time I’ve been living in this beautiful country of ours and when you see the photos you’ll realise why. QT Hotels are cementing themselves as the best in laid back luxury and cool (why was I allowed in then?) and service every whim and want. Qt Museum Wellington was no exception. <\/span><\/p>\n

From the welcome little sweet treats from ‘Tim’ as I arrived (if you missed my Instagram ‘Stories’ head here<\/a><\/span> to catch up) to the lap pool, two gorgeous restaurants, huge beds and ALL THE ART.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>It is literally like being in Alice in Wonderland and I hope I can fall down this rabbit hole and never find my way out. Owners of the largest privately owned art collection the QT Museum Wellington<\/span><\/a>\u00a0will have your camera weeping at every curve of its corridors.<\/span><\/p>\n

If this is your first weekend away alone this hotel is a must and here’s why:<\/span><\/p>\n

It has huge beds. Now this may be a small thing in your itinerary but if you’re alone it means you can starfish your way to dreamsville. All the space. All for you. Huge pillows and gorgeous white linen make those nights of sleep where no-one will wake you up for a glass of water, a nappy change or because they think waking up at 4am for a dance party is normal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>You never have to leave the hotel; Wellington is amazing don’t get me wrong but if you wanted to go incognito and stay amongst the duvet, this hotel is perfect for that. Wander the halls and check out all the art alongside your thoughts. Swim in the lap pool, work out in the gym, swelter in the sauna (if you so must).<\/span><\/p>\n

Two restaurants right there in the grounds; Hot Sauce<\/span><\/a> (new Asian inspired and delicious. Try the popcorn chicken) and Hippopotamus<\/span><\/a> restaurant and cocktail bar which is located right at the top of the hotel. So if you’re totally wanting to get your best frock on (because, let’s be honest, it’s been a while) this is the perfect place to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n

AND if you’re not wanting to leave the hotel room; ROOM SERVICE PEOPLE.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>For those of you wanting to meander the lanes and by-ways of Wellington City you are right there on it’s doorstep. A stone’s throw (don’t throw stones though, you’ll get arrested) to Te Papa and their new art gallery, right near the waterfront for ice-cream and people watching (I may have had hot chips with lots of tomato sauce), shopping, eating, drinking and just revelling in the fact that you’re alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a> \"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>There’s also an app (what what!) and it made life so much easier. I could check in and out with a swipe and also see what was going on in the city (and stock up only favourite treats to bring back and guzzle in bed). I had the phone numbers of all the places I might need (DR, dentist…) and all the little bits I might need; wifi, location map (for when I get lost). Just brilliant.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>All the Keeping up with the Kardashians (or your other guilty pleasure) that you could want on their large screen tv’s in the luxurious rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two shower heads and a BATH! I took three (yes three) baths (and a shower) while I was there and I didn’t feel bad about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>\"My<\/a>I could not think of another place I would rather be (well, maybe doing laps in the hotel pool but instead the water was chocolate) if I was alone than this hotel. It has style, charm, quirk, a kind of secret that noone else knows about only you. It’s dark and hidden and mysterious. It has everything you need if you don’t want to leave it and it pushes you to explore the city. I love you QT Museum<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Wellington and I will be back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
