\"Queenstown<\/a>\"Queenstown<\/a>\"Queenstown<\/a>Queenstown is absolutely brilliant for a good staycation<\/span><\/a>. You can pack your toothbrush and pants, heading into town and have a plethora (yes I’ve swallowed a dictionary today) of hotels, restaurants, pampering and even free things<\/span><\/a> to do! I headed to Queenstown Park Boutique<\/span> <\/a>Hotel for some total staycation time and to explore a hotel that I’ve always been desperate to see inside.<\/p>\n

Literally a stone’s throw from the Recreation Ground in the town centre, the Queenstown Park Hotel has 19 rooms<\/span><\/a> (all architecturally designed) and is beautiful five star accommodation. Choose from suites (two levels anyone?) to smaller more intimate designs with their own statement designs where luxury is in abundance.<\/p>\n

\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a>We started the evening with a jaunt into town and then headed to complementary drinks and canap\u00e9s with other guests, just one of the gorgeous extras the hotel provides.<\/p>\n

The rooms are delicious. Think sleek modern design with comfort and luxury at the helm. Orange and black swatches, amazing flow and every whim catered for.<\/p>\n

Need a delicious breakfast in the morning? Sorted. Want to head out and enjoy a picnic hamper lunch by the lake? They cater for this too. A big guest lounge with roaring fire to start your evening and you can sink into their massive chairs for some real live luxury and relaxation.<\/p>\n

\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a>Beds? Huge. Showers? Hot and spacious. Views? Incredible. The Remarkables peeking out at every angle.<\/p>\n

They are also hosts of a current exhibition which I’m proud to comment on. Stu Robertson has been bringing ‘Peace in 10,000 Hands<\/span><\/a>‘ global art project to the world for some time now. His photographs of the beautiful white rose being held by some of the most distinctive (and not) faces on the planet brings the question to the fore “what is peace?”. Stu’s absolutely beautiful photographs are now hung on the walls of the hotel and describe some of the many wonderful people and lives Stu has snapped.<\/p>\n

\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a>\"Queenstown<\/a> We stayed in a gorgeous king sized room with delicious views of the paraglider coming into land (you know, standard) and got completely absorbed watching MTV and sinking into their huge beds. There was also some delicious fudge left as a treat on the side and a little pinot noir from their good selection in the mini bar.<\/p>\n

I also revelled in the fact that I could see the mountains and sky from the shower (glass roof alert!) and a huge mirror in the bathroom. One thing about hotels sometimes is their mirrors aren’t big enough. But this one was huge and I could see my whole huge head in it. Well done Queenstown Park<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a>\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a> I also loved the fact that we were so close to Queenstown centre but lying in our big bed we commented on how we felt like we could be somewhere else (not that I want to leave this amazing place) but sometimes town centre hotels are noisy, too close to the action or just something not quite right. This one? Soundproof, surrounded by trees and bush and like a little world away from the hub bub.<\/p>\n

\"Queenstown<\/a> \"Queenstown<\/a>Morning arrived and fresh from a deep slumber we headed to breakfast. Our order was settled the evening before and a little phone call at our selected time to let us know it was ready. Coffee, omelettes, juice and pastries. All ready and waiting. I have been known to love a good breakfast.<\/p>\n

I even spied (to my shock) that there was blossom on the tree outside. Too soon? I’m ready, so ready for Spring to get here. The\u00a0Queenstown Park<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Boutique Hotel h<\/span><\/span>ave a gorgeous little garden seating area where you can sit and sip your coffee surrounded by trees and blossom the whole Summer long.<\/p>\n

Everything you could need right here in town. I got quite used to settling into their splendour but unfortunately the staycation ended and I wandered back into town. Looking back at the paraglider landing just above.<\/p>\n
