Sarah and Chris are the brains (and brawn) behind this unique brand right here in Wānaka and they do absolutely everything in their power to make your celebration magical, nuanced and all about ‘you’.
Married in a giant tipi back in the UK, Sarah and Chris searched all the corners of the UK because they had an idea to bring these huge beautiful Nordic tipis here to our shores here in Aotearoa. You have to see them face to face to completely understand not only how stunning they are but how they are part of the story you want to create.
Whether that’s with your 50th, wedding day, party, corporate event, these tipis absolutely shift the mindset that being outdoors in a tent is all about being slightly cold and wet with the outer door flapping in the wind.
The tent’s are huge, warm, cozy and most of all don’t include a wet and windy weekend in Wales (I do love Wales though).
These Nordic tipis are a beautiful backdrop that scoop you up and gather you in their huge embrace (see I told you there were hugs). They emerge bursting to greet your guests whilst also slotting perfectly into the nook of a valley secret elopement, back country birthday, grandmas-bbq-party-come-celebratory-gin-holiday. You joyfully celebrate it, they come sort it. Catch my drift?
Imagine the scene, you are immersed in the love for your new partner, birthday milestone, office team bonding exercise and upon arrival to your mountain top weekend you spot a Gather and Gold tipi set up before your eyes. Fairy lights twinkle and dance in the breeze, the beautiful canvas lights up the table set up in a long row and a fire dances and keeps everyone warm. A smaller tipi set aside for all the cooking, one for dancing, one for laughing, one for chatting.
Sarah and Chris and team work tirelessly around coordination, magic making, set up and pack down. They currently are able to set up in any Queenstown, Wanaka location (FOC travel) and will travel South Island wide (travel costs apply, just ask and they’ll deliver.
Worried about the Queenstown wind during February? These tipis are mighty beasts with a crew of Gather and Golders who are thoroughly trained in the art of erection.
Choose from mini tipi ‘hat’ to full festoon walkway. Want your guests to lounge the night away; add on Moroccan poufs, sheepskins, bean bags and chairs and wooden stumps.
Want to party like it’s 2020 (and who will forget that year?) create a full on dance floor where your party goers can moonwalk the night away. Fire bowls, hoops for florals and all things keep your guests warm. You want it? They got it.
