I’ve been very very lucky to get to stay in some absolutely divine hotels here in Queenstown. There’s something for every budget but sometimes when you want to ‘treat’ yourself there’s nothing like drowning in luxurious beds, baths so big you could sneak your whole family in there, room service you’ll never want to go home to that dial a pizza every again.

So here they are for your drooling pleasure. You’re very very welcome.

Hulbert House. I had my beady eye on this place as they were updating it and wow what an absolutely mind blowing renovation. A forlorn 1880’s cottage transformed into a luxurious six bedroom masterpiece.
With parlour, huge bath tubs, the most amazing wallpaper you’ve ever seen and a beautiful display of photographs from Queenstown long ago it’s a dream maker’s, well, dream.  Jade and Jay make every dream come true.

Camp Glenorchy designed, built and operated under the Living Building challenge opened it’s doors in March 2018 and wow what doors.

It’s one of the most beautiful ‘camps’ I’ve ever stayed in and EVERY SINGLE part of it has been thought about. Weave it into your post hike lie-on-floor-your-feet-are-hurting or just hang out in Glenorchy for some serenity. AND has just been names on TIME magazines’s worlds greatest places to stay you know you’re in good hands.

Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel has recently been re-designed but it was a haven of art and luxury anyways. I loved the little corridor of art leading to the bedrooms, the little individual entrance ways and the breakfast- Oh the breakfast.

Lake House Joela has got to be the best view from a bath in the world. It also boasts amazing design features and so close to town you can stumble out the front door down the path and you’re there. A compete treat hidden away from the world but right in the thick of it if you want it. Relax It’s Done sort everything.

Blanket Bay was a true dream of a place. I’ve always wistfully gazed at the gates marking the entrance and wondered what went on behind there and then I got married and found out! Two nights is best as you get to really really settle into the place. You can also have the choice of three places to have your dinner. I am sold.

The Spire is luxury with a capital OMG. Tucked away on Church Street right in the centre of town you’d think you’d notice but everything is catered to make sure you can disappear from the world for a while. Tea, huge beds, luxurious furniture and then the restaurant downstairs to slip into if the feeling takes you. You can go crazy in town or forget you’re even in Queenstown. But why would you want to with the view from the front door.

Kinross is a dream for wine lovers. Situated right in the heart of Gibbston it has wine (standard) and beautiful views of the mountains and you’re out of the centre of town so feel like you’re remote but only ten minutes from Arrowtown. Perfect.  Plus the beds in this place are HUGE.
