Nevé are 100% vegan their unique wooden wicks mean they burn right down to the last pop! (no annoying hole in the centre of the candle; no wastage) and they make the most satisfying crackling sound. Nevé is the brainchild of Tess (an original Southerner) who’s love of the deeply intoxicating recipes brought Nevé to life. Tess was looking for her creative hook, her ‘thing’ and after testing the market with a few ideas she discovered wood wick candles which blew her customers away. Combining only the best will do business sense and a love of all things local she combined these two loves into an amazing brand that is now shipping internationally.
Up until now Nevé Candles were hand poured in Queenstown but a change in lifestyle means the candles will now have a new lease of life in Christchurch. Her new team members include her gorgeous mum who will work alongside Tess to help spread the load and be a huge support to the brand.
Tessa’s a smart cookie, completely immersing herself in the love of all things cozy, all things sentimental, luxurious. The way smells remind us of a place, a person, a location.

Nevé is a brand I absolutely love because it’s local, made right here in New Zealand. Tessa stands for so many good things with charity of choice, transparency about how the candles are made, the ingredients included in them and the fact that it’s a family affair bringing her mum onboard. I love nothing more after a hard day with work and baby’s in bed than to light a candle, settle down and listen to the crackle. It’s the mark of the end of the day, the start of my relaxation, my time.
