springfestivals1

Spring is here and with it comes warm days, icy blasts, the fire on, the fire off. Sandals are out and then the next day my feet are blue so amongst all that hoo har it’s good to have some lovely festivals to make us feel in the mood for one of my favourite seasons. Check out my secrets here!

Arrowtown Arts Festival
15-18 September
A new kid on the block, this festival starts on the 15th September and runs until the 18th. There’s workshops, drawing, photography, singing, markets! Arrowtown will be ablaze with creativity and it might be the first but it certainly won’t be the last.

Queenstown Jazz Festival
21-24 October
Always an unbelievable lineup for such a little town, the Jazz Festival is a three day bonanza of music, of the toe tapping variety. A little bit cool a little bit sexy but definitely one not to miss. I will be there with my smoking jacket at the ready. That’s what all the cool kids wear isn’t it?

Alexandra Blossom Festival
23-26 September
Celebrating it’s 60th year, the Alexandra Blossom festival is one of my favourites to get over to Central Otago and see the flowers in full bloom. Parades, food, sports, kids, books, arts.

Check their programmes and how to book tickets below and there’s tons of free stuff available too.
