I have been wearing four jumpers for what seems like an eternity. My skin is the colour of gone off milk (even with a holiday to Samoa) and I am crying out for some pampering. Are you with me? Are you picking up what I’m putting down?

Oddfellows Beauty Lodge knows how to do a good hug in a completely client/ professional way. Set in one of the one of the oldest buildings in Arrowtown, Oddfellows started it’s life as a lodge hall in 1877. Thankfully for us Sam Gent took up residence and we now get to lie back and indulge when the weather calls for it. Or we just want to feel better about having Winter skin. The building itself is a marvel and inside is a haven of trinkets and products to make you feel divine.

I was in for a treat with their special ‘SAS‘ package, kind of like trust the chef but all over your body, for a whole hour you can trust the therapist to work out what your aching, tired body needs and then get to work. Perfect. I might be there all day.

To begin, I settled under a huge warm duvet covered bed and lay back. I could honestly have stayed there all day and fallen asleep in my warm cocoon but such is life, on with the show,
An entree of facial activity (with soft mist flowing over your face to cleanse, soothe and tone) followed by eyelash tint, neck, shoulder and head massage. Feet next and you trust your therapist to pick something for your tootsies to walk home in. For dessert a little eyebrow pluck, check the eyelashes and you’re on your way.
