Did I mention I went to a random wedding this week? Well I did. Random. And I ate cake for breakfast and it rained was hot and sultry but that’s another story.
This week went Kerpow! in terms of being awesome, fast, hot and sticky (caramel), busy, project-filled and new stuff happening. I’m so excitable about what’s happening at Team Queenstown Life HQ. My flatmate loves the enthusiasm. So much so she hasn’t been home lately. Who else can I annoy?
Poppy Loves Book Club arrived again after a two month hiatus and oh what a lovely night. We book clubbers well book clubbed and chatted about the book of the past month ‘Dodger‘ by James Benmore, we then met online a few days later with London, Birmingham, Iraq (yes Iraq), Brisbane and little Queenstown. The author was there too and I got a personal video answering my question- star struck. I don’t shut up for more than 5 minutes much but I was gobsmacked.
Next up The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. Join us!
I had chocolate for breakfast on Monday at Koko Black. Don’t tell my mum she’ll kill me as will my dentist but it was worth it. Mucho deliciousness amongst their new Summer menu. You can read about it here.
Wednesday saw the gorgeous Cath from One Fine Day ring me up and invite me to a wedding. Of colossal epicness. 2 People 1 life are travelling around the world getting married. This was their 67th time. Yes you read it. They marry (not legally) and then will pick the best one and do it properly. Sailing off to Mt. Nicholas Station with some of the biggest creative types in Queenstown and a wedding couple I didn’t know surely rates highly in my awesome list. Such a beautiful day and evening spent laughing, eating, catching up and putting faces to names on social media. Just perfect. Read about it here.
Rocking out on Saturday at The Gibbston Valley Summer Concert featuring Heart, Foreigner and 3 Dog Night was surely another highlight. 15,000 people in a field, dancing to 80’s music. Gold. Solid gold. Thank you Greenstone Entertainment. What a blast.
I’ve also got things in the pipeline at Collective Hair and Make-up Professionals. Exciting times my friends. But for now, keep under the umbrella and dance like everyone is watching.
