Well, it came and it went. Christmas and New Year and whoa what a year! I shall be reporting on all that is good in Queenstown and Central when I work out how to write again (after two weeks my tappy happy fingers can’t remember) but first a wee look at the week. After the shenanigans of christmas it was all about the bike, sunshine, some more gin (a girls got a habit) and the New Year. Which we rang in in style. Where were you?
Bike riding. My happy place. I don’t know what it is (well actually I do. I ride to eat cake after and get quads of steel) but I love riding along in the sunshine minding my own business. Thrashing myself in the heat up all the hills in this place. If you don’t like hills to walk, ride, run or just throw yourself up you’re in the wrong town my friend. You just have to stop the hating. They ain’t going anywhere.
New Years was spent with some of my best pals at The Sherwood. My staple for drinks, coffee, food and any time I have the excuse to go there. There was so much going on on New Years I quite like to stay out of town and find somewhere quiet. Yeah right. We danced and sang up a storm. Perfect.
This year I want to continue to bring you the best, most exciting new and old from around the region but I’m also looking now to spread my wings further afield. Many of you lovely readers move on from this place eventually (are you mad) and venture onto other destinations which is a perfect way to show you what you’re heading to. So I’m putting the call out there for businesses in other regions to get in touch here.
Other New Years parties went BOOM! For one my friend’s band Versificator.  They rocked Wanaka like nobody’s business. Well now it is your business. They had bras on the stage and everything. Look out for them! Amazing Queenstown talent right there.
I don’t do resolutions but if I did it would go something like  “I just like to eat more, drink more and exercise more”. I also want to hang out with my friends more, eat ice-cream more, walk up some hills and generally meet more and more cool people here. Hello 2015 you’re looking beautiful already.
Happy New Year from us at Queenstown Life!
