We had some sun! Glory be hallelujah! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then it was cold again. Excuse my constant weather ramblings, but I’m English. It’s what we do.

This week everyone is gearing up for the ol’ holidays. I can feel it in everyone’s demeanour. They’re excited about eating their body weight in crisps (chips) and lying on the floor knowing (for most of us) that they don’t have to get up off that floor for a few days. Believe me I’ve worked over Christmas and it passes by in a flash of “there’s santa oh back to work”, so this year I will revel in the lying around bit.

I managed to drag my old lady bones out mid week to Blue Door, Arrowtown for their amazing open mike night. It’s been going for a couple of years now and it’s so nice to sit around, listen to music and know that it feels a bit naughty as it’s Wednesday! See you there after the holidays.

I also got to eat at The Sherwood which was amazing, post to come! It’s a good job I’m riding my bike lots as I’d be the size of a house with all this eating. Good job it’s not nearly Christmas then. Oops!
