Pre dinner drinks at Cru Bar Pre dinner drinks at Cru BarCru Bar at The Hilton Queenstown is a prefect pre dinner escape right over the water on Kelvin Peninsula. Sleek, sophisticated oozing dark reds and black interior it is a haven of the best cocktails in New Zealand.

It was my first escape out of the house post baby so I wanted to sink into some leather, gaze at the view (not think about baby and feeding) and sip a gorgeous cocktail or twelve two.

I can’t resist bubbles though and so had to have one of my favourite Cloudy Bay Pelorus NV.

A wonderful selection of local and NZ art adorn the walls and people chatter in whispers as they too enjoy the view.

I absolutely love heading over to Kelvin Heights in the evening. Sunsets a plenty, waves lapping the shore and you’re safe in the knowledge there’s nowhere else in the world you’d rather be.

It’s cozy, it’s comfy and for one moment it’s a mile away from real life.

I was a guest of Cru Bar but as always my views and opinions are always vehemently my own.
