Some of us don’t know our twitter from our elbows (are they one and the same thing?) and that’s where we come in. We know what we like and we like to think we know what our readers like so with this mind……We say a big hello.

I spend so much of my time explaining how this blog works that I thought I’d write it all down in, yes, a blog post. So you can peruse it over your morning coffee, swirl it around in your head and understand how it all fits with you. With what you’re doing and trying to do.

Imagine your gorgeous brand/ product/ thing you love. You want to shout about it but you’re not sure how. You can try using your facebook page but you’re not that good at remembering to post, you can tell your mum about it and she loves you so she’ll tell her neighbours and they all love it too OR you can get us to shout about it and all our readers will love it to. Queenstown Life is all about the small but mighty. All about that gorgeous spoon that you’ve made (an example) but my readers want to know about where it was made, who made that spoon, who put all their love into it. And of course WHERE THE HELL THEY CAN BUY THAT SPOON FROM? That’s where we come in. Writing, making people laugh, taking beautiful photographs of your spoon. And showing it to everyone all wrapped up in a lovely blog post and social media package. For us it’s about the stories, the tales, who you are, what you love and what your values are. Then and only then can a lasting relationship occur for someone to pick up on what you’re doing.

And that thing about Twitter and your elbow? We can help you with that too. Don’t give your Facebook page to someone to manage who hates Facebook! Let us find that person who loves it and show them how to do it properly. There are some rules, other things that you need to think about.

Let’s look at an example. You’re selling trainers. They’re amazing trainers but why oh why are most of your posts about your dinner? Or your gorgeous daughter? And they’re blurry and you put it out at 11am on a Monday when everyone’s deep in work mode.

From feedback, tourists and locals love to know about who they are dealing with in a business. When they walk in through that front door if they feel instantly ‘at home’ they are more likely to trust, stay and most importantly return. I have been writing about business but also the people and families behind those businesses. Blogging the world round now has been proven to work very effectively for brands and I would love to help you understand why. We also want to help you with your social media. The in’s and out’s. The do’s and don’ts.

We also want to send people your way once they’ve left Queenstown. They WILL go somewhere else, whether that be the West Coast, Sydney or Auckland. We will send them there!
