Sore achy bones need Apres soak sometimes and I meandered to Onsen Hot Pools with my gang (epic contributors Zoe and Jodie) for some soakage and business meetings. Someone’s got to do it….
Onsen has been on my mind for a wee while now. Not only because I know the views from the tub are awesome and gives you a real vantage point of the river but it’s hidden away out of the craziness of the town. Tucked down a wee drive in Arthur’s Point, Onsen’s pools open out into an absolute gobsmacking view. If you follow me on snapchat you’d have heard the shrieks as we sat back and allowed the large wooden shutter to open up infront of us and the view to hit us slap bang in the face. Settle back with a steaming cup of tea (you know me) and you could have left us there all afternoon.
Available during the day for soak-your-bones after a ski type scenario or a romantic evening if you want to impress that new ‘friend’ you met in Fergburger last night. They have it all. Candles, romance, steaming hot water to chatter the hours away. We didn’t stop talking about taking over the world whilst soaking up a treat. We made some deals in that room I can tell you. So many exciting things are coming. And I’ve got Onsen to thank for it.
Head here to book your gorgeous tub for at least an hour (you can then add 30 minute increments). They give you a wee knock ten minutes before you’re due to get out. We didn’t want to get out and so had to rub a dub dub pretty sharpish when our little buzzer went off but they were all cool, calm and collected about it. They also have a courtesy bus that can pick you up from town. Result!
