#fuelhappiness lululemon queenstownI haven’t been up at 5 AM in a long long time. I’ve moved house so the cockerels crow at 5am but that doesn’t mean I get out of my pit. It’s warm and there’s usually tea but this fine Sunday morning I had been sent an invitation to ‘Fill your happiness cup with a morning adventure sure to set you up for the day, week and 2016!”. I’m all about 2016 and new adventures so I whipped down to the Lululemon Queenstown store on The Mall, got my new outfit and went to bed early.

The evening before was filled with rain and grey skies so we moved the day to an hour later where we met at the bottom of the Gondola track, wrapped up warm with new yoga mats in tow wondering what was happening and where we were headed!

A rabble of about 16 of us from all over in Queenstown set off up the track for a hike, meditation at the top, breakfast, happiness talk and finally a Ziptrek Flying Fox back to the bottom. Lululemon are currently spreading #fuelhappiness. A six step process to feeling more happy in your life. 1) Kindness 2) Meditation 3) Gratitude 4) Positivity 5) Connections 6) Purpose. All this alongside some snow, exhilarating rides, new friends, wonderful community discussions and ‘those girls’.

“Those girls’ being the crew at Queenstown Lululemon store. I’ve never met such a truly committed to the community cause such as these lot. And I say lot as there’s quite a few of them all breathing, living, shining examples of kindness, caring and truly loving what they do. Sometimes I’m one of the most sarcastic souls in the land and can get carried away with living a ‘take-the-piss-out-of-everything’ lifestyle but having met these women I can honestly say (and yes I’m gushing here, I DON’T CARE). Every time I walk into that shop I get a sense of people who love what they do, and want you to be part of it too.

Sitting on top of a mountain peak in the freezing sleet on a Sunday morning might not be your cup of tea, but I for one loved it and wanted to run down the hill shouting “I’m getting up early every Sunday morning” but there was breakfast to be had, a gorgeous and real talk about stopping searching for the end result of happiness AND a Ziptrek line into town. Now that’s the way to spend a Sunday.

Meet up next Sunday?
